The Night Before Ije Live

For so many of my Ije Live guests, Ije Live was incredible, magical, bigger than the last one. A lot of people, even when told, are unaware of the struggles behind it even up until the Friday night when we had the dress & tech rehearsal.

This past week, I felt God carry me like never before. The night before Ije Live, I broke down, in tears, terrified, unsure of anything and overwhelmed.

In my multitasking, I felt like I may had unintentionally deprioritize important stuffs and left out some deets in the music. Afraid I would fail, there were so many moving parts.

I reached out to my Friends of Ije Circle and oh my… they poured out their hearts and faith in prayers for me. Called my mum she prayed for me in Igbo. My friend Isebiama led me in deep prayers, my sisters, my friends - Emmanuel, Kanje, Phebean, Digba and the rest, offered the kindest words and by divine grace, I felt renewed, re-energized and empowered. Like for real.

I have once again been reassured that God hears me. I have also learnt that I do not have to carry any weight on my own, help can always be made available.

I acknowledge all those who said a word of prayer from a distance, here on my page, thank you. My God sees you.

May He bless you all for me. You have no idea how far your prayers carried me. Thank you for praying and for standing with me. May you always find help.

Ije Live (in the words of my guests), was a magical (graceful) experience.
